– Learn about your company, products, services, and export activities.
– Understand your desired local Japanese partner.
– Study your target market in Japan, analyze the industry, identify business opportunities, and map potential customers, competitors, and partners.
– Based on the findings, create a profile of the ideal Japanese partner candidate.
– Research and compile a list of Japanese partners that align with the candidate profile.
– Share and discuss the list of Japanese partners with the client.
– Initiate initial contact with approved candidates to validate basic information.
– Establish contact and conduct meetings with relevant validated candidates to introduce the client, its products, services, and technologies.
– Arrange meetings in Japan (or via conference calls) between the client and candidates who have shown interest in the client’s offerings.
– Provide ongoing communication support with the candidates to ensure productive discussions and negotiations leading to first orders and/or agreement signings.
– Advise the company and provide strategic and tactical support, actively participating in negotiations with Japanese partner candidates.
– Follow up with the Japanese partners after the contract has been signed to ensure the smooth execution of the agreement.
